About
The S Quartet is a performing group based in the University of the Philippines College of Music. It was created with the purpose of learning, and with the intention of sharing and spreading different genres of music throughout the world today. The S in the name stands for the ranking system wherein S is the highest. The group is comprised of young individuals who are geared towards excellence, and its members have joined international youth orchestras and several orchestras in the country.
The S Quartet has played on several occasions in the University of the Philippines, and was also featured in a concert in the Abelardo Hall Auditorium. The group also participated in different master classes and workshops facilitated by foreign classical groups. The quartet was featured twice in "Unang Hirit" early in 2010 and recently in DZUP's radio program, "Tunog at Tinig".
